The 2026 Miami Grand Prix this past weekend delivered exactly what Formula 1 fans expect from South Florida: speed, sunshine, spectacle — and serious wrist game. While the racing action grabbed headlines, the watch brands tied to the sport once again proved that in Formula 1, timing is everything.
Leading the weekend was Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS rising star Kimi Antonelli, who continued his hot streak and added more momentum to an already impressive season. Antonelli was spotted throughout the weekend wearing IWC Schaffhausen, one of Formula 1’s most deeply rooted watch partners. On his wrist: the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41.9 Le Petit Prince, a bold white ceramic model with rich blue dial accents that feels perfectly suited to Miami’s vibrant atmosphere.

Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff also wore IWC, choosing the newly launched Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive — one of the brand’s most technically ambitious releases this year. Built with spaceflight in mind, the futuristic ceramic timepiece underscores IWC’s ongoing focus on engineering performance, precision and innovation — values that mirror Formula 1 itself.
IWC’s presence in Miami extended beyond the paddock. Ahead of the race weekend, the brand hosted an intimate gathering in the Miami Design District with Antonelli, celebrating its longstanding partnership with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS. Since 2013, IWC and Mercedes have collaborated on special-edition watches, team pieces and technology-driven storytelling that connects motorsport and horology.

TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph Pastel Collection
Meanwhile, TAG Heuer reminded everyone that it remains one of the most recognizable names in racing. As Official Timekeeper of Formula 1, the brand made its presence felt both on and off the circuit. At the track, TAG Heuer’s signature pit lane clock and timing systems reinforced its race-day authority. Off track, it staged a full Miami takeover in the Design District, complete with pop-ups, nightlife events and the launch of its colorful new Formula 1 Solargraph Pastel Collection.
The new Solargraph models — playful, lightweight and powered by light-charged quartz movements — were tailor-made for Miami. In a sport often defined by carbon fiber and milliseconds, TAG Heuer showed there is still room for color and fun.
Formula 1 brought the horsepower, but the watch world brought the style.
Other luxury names include Louis Vuitton, which continued its Formula 1 partnership by presenting the winner’s trophy in a bespoke Miami Grand Prix trunk, adding signature craftsmanship to the podium celebration.
Tudor arrived with racing credentials of its own, unveiling the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26,” inspired by its Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team partnership.
