Having been named the Official licensee for U.S. Army watches bearing the Army’s official star, colors and typography, Praesidus is introducing collections created not only for active-duty soldiers and officers, but also for civilians, military enthusiasts, history buffs and families of enlisted and retired Army personnel.

The multi-year program represents a natural evolution for a company whose mission has always centered on serving the military community. Founded in 2019, Praesidus first gained attention by recreating the World War II-era A-11 worn by legendary paratrooper Tom Rice during the Normandy invasion on D-Day.

This latest chapter shifts the focus from honoring the past to creating watches for those serving today.
Each Praesidus U.S. Army watch features tool watch functions that include luminous hands and markers for easy readability.
Rather than producing a commemorative piece, Praesidus developed watches intended for everyday wear. Automatic and quartz models feature high-contrast matte dials, robust steel cases, canvas straps and 10 ATM water resistance, with every watch assembled and quality-controlled in Arizona.
The designs are understated, avoiding unnecessary embellishment while emphasizing legibility, durability and functionality—the qualities expected of a military tool watch.
The Praesidus U.S. Army watches designed for Army personnel have removable rank sleeves for the watch straps.
Active-duty U.S. Army personnel can personalize their watches with interchangeable official Army rank insignia sleeves for the strap that showcase rank. Additionally, they can customize the caseback engraving, allowing the watch to reflect an individual’s service while maintaining its clean, functional design. Civilian versions retain the same understated aesthetic without the military-specific customization. The automatic versions retail for $335, while the quartz watches sell for $225.
