Just in time for the final Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix at the Dutch Circuit Zandvoort later this month, TAG Heuer unveils two bright new Formula 1 Solargraph watches that capture the energy of racing while putting color and solar technology front and center.
Orange is the defining feature of the two limited editions – and for good reason. The color has become virtually inseparable from the Dutch Grand Prix, where thousands of fans traditionally turn the grandstands into a sea of orange. TAG Heuer translates that visual spectacle to the wrist with a bold orange TH-Polylight bidirectional bezel that immediately gives the watches their racing personality.
There are two versions of the TAG Heuer Solargraph Formula 1 Zandvoort
Both versions are housed in compact 38mm sandblasted stainless steel cases, a size that also recalls the smaller dimensions of TAG Heuer’s original Formula 1 watches introduced in 1986. The matte case finish keeps the bright color from becoming overpowering and provides an effective contrast to the soft grey dial.
That dial is where the racing-inspired color story really comes together. Orange surrounds the dial at the minute track, while red lacquered hands add another jolt of color. Applied hour markers are treated with eggshell-colored Super-LumiNova for nighttime visibility, and the shield-shaped markers at 6, 9 and 12:00 reinforce the distinctive design codes of the Formula 1 collection. A date indication at 3:00 completes the display.

There are two versions of the TAG Heuer Solargraph Formula 1 Zandvoort.. The sportier model is paired with a vivid orange rubber strap and is limited to 1,500 pieces. It retails for $2,150. The second, limited to 1,000 pieces and sold exclusively online, comes on a three-row sandblasted steel bracelet for a slightly more understated interpretation. It retails for $2,250.
Perhaps the most interesting feature, though, is one you can’t see. Inside is TAG Heuer’s light-powered Caliber TH50-00 Solargraph quartz movement. It converts both natural and artificial light into energy, eliminating the need for conventional battery changes. Just one minute of direct sunlight provides enough energy to run the watch for a full day, while a complete charge offers up to 10 months of autonomy in total darkness.
With their energetic orange accents, retro-inspired 38mm proportions and virtually worry-free solar movement, the new Formula 1 Solargraph Zandvoort editions feel like genuinely fun racing watches.
The casebook of the TAG Heuer Solargraph Formula 1 Zandvoort is engraved with the TAG Heuer shield and “1 of 1500” for the strap version and “1 of 1,000” for the bracelet version.
