Bell & Ross BR05 Blue Diamond Eagle
As Bell & Ross lifts the embargo on its newest release, I’m reminded of the brand’s history and purpose — one long linked to aviation and the sky. The new Bell & Ross BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle Watch – with aventurine dial, starry night overview and alluringly iconic Bell & Ross case shape — is designed to transport watch lovers to that legacy, as well, but in a thoroughly contemporary aesthetic.
At first glance, the 36mm watch is unmistakably a BR-05: the softened square case, integrated bracelet, and balanced proportions that have become a modern signature. At this 36mm size, though, it leans into a more compact, wearable expression without losing presence. The steel case—satin-finished and polished—retains that architectural strength, a quiet reminder of cockpit instruments translated for the wrist.
But the dial shifts the conversation.

The Bell & Ross BR05 Blue Diamond Eagle retails for $5,000.
Rendered in deep blue aventurine, it captures something Bell & Ross has always pursued in a different form: the vastness of space that astronauts and pilots navigate. Aventurine, with its suspended metallic inclusions, creates a starfield effect that feels alive under changing light. It’s not decorative for the sake of it—it sets the stage.
Across that dial, the Eagle constellation (Aquila) is mapped in diamonds, each stone placed to mirror the actual alignment of its stars. The largest marks Altair, anchoring the composition, while the others trace the wings and tail of the eagle.
Contrasting with the geometry of the case, the almost freeform dial offers a depth that draws the onlooker in. The diamonds are integrated into the narrative rather than sitting on top of it. Even the hour markers yield to this idea, replaced by stones that maintain legibility while reinforcing the night-sky illusion.

The Bell & Ross BR05 Blue Diamond Eagle is crafted in stainless steel.
Technically, the watch remains straightforward and reliable. The automatic BR-CAL.329 offers a 54-hour power reserve, housed within a slim 8.7mm profile. Water resistance to 100 meters and a screw-down crown keep it firmly in everyday territory—this isn’t a fragile object despite the delicacy of its dial.
What makes this piece compelling isn’t just the materials or the execution, but the continuity. Bell & Ross has always looked to the skies through the lens of aviation; here, it broadens that perspective to something more timeless. The Eagle—symbol of flight, power, and elevation—feels like a natural extension of that story. At $5,000, the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36mm sits in an interesting space: accessible enough for serious collectors, yet distinct enough to stand apart.
