FHH and Geneva Tourism guide
For centuries, Geneva has been the heartbeat of Swiss watchmaking — a city where precision, artistry, and innovation have shaped not just timepieces, but a cultural identity. Now, for the first time, visitors can experience that legacy through a single, beautifully crafted companion: the Geneva Watchmaking Guide.
Launched by Geneva Tourism in collaboration with the Fondation Haute Horlogerie (FHH), this inaugural guide is a long-overdue tribute to the city’s deep connection to horology. It maps out Geneva’s essential watchmaking landmarks — from historic workshops and maisons to museums, boutiques, and immersive experiences — inviting travelers to uncover the living craft that has made Geneva synonymous with excellence in timekeeping.

The guide ties in places around the city and their watch affiliation.
Elegantly bound in a compact hardcover format, the 175-page bilingual guide (French and English) serves as both an educational resource and an invitation to explore. Inside, readers will find interviews, essays, and illustrated features that weave together the stories of the city’s master artisans, its economic impact, and the enduring creativity that drives haute horlogerie forward.
“Haute horology is much more than just the art of measuring time — it is a culture of high standards, details, and tradition,” says Aurélie Streit, Vice President of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. “Through this collaboration with Geneva Tourism, we aim to make this rich culture accessible to all.”
Joining the Geneva Food Guide released in 2024, this new edition expands the Geneva Guides collection to showcase the city’s defining passions — from gastronomy to craftsmanship. As Adrien Genier, Director General of Geneva Tourism, explains, “This guide pays tribute to an essential part of Geneva’s DNA. It welcomes everyone, from seasoned collectors to curious travelers, to discover what makes the city tick.”
Available for CHF 28 (approximately GBP 28) at Geneva Tourism’s Cornavin station information point, as well as in select hotels, museums, bookstores, and online, the guide marks an exciting new chapter in cultural tourism.
For watch lovers and travelers alike, the Geneva Watchmaking Guide offers what has been missing for far too long — a map to the beating heart of Swiss watchmaking.
