Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Skeleton Milano Blue
Parmigiani Fleurier expands its Tonda PF collection with a new interpretation of the Tonda PF Skeleton, combining 18-karat rose gold with the brand’s signature Milano Blue. Limited to just 30 pieces, the new Tonda PF Skeleton Milano Blue puts the focus not simply on exposing the mechanics, but on the architecture behind them.
There is a natural connection between skeleton watchmaking and Michel Parmigiani’s roots in restoration. Long before founding his namesake brand, Michel Parmigiani built his reputation restoring historically important watches and clocks — work that requires understanding how a movement is constructed before taking it apart, restoring it and putting it back together. That philosophy continues to influence the brand’s approach to open-worked watches today.

With the Tonda PF Skeleton, the goal is to remove as much material as possible in the movement. The components, including bridges and other elements, are pared back while maintaining the structural balance and clarity of the movement. The result allows the mechanics to become an integral part of the watch’s design rather than simply something exposed beneath the dial.

The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Skeleton Rose Gold Milano Blue watch is a study in light, balance and design, as well as mechanics.
At its heart is the automatic manufacture Caliber PF777, measuring an impressively slim 3.9mm thick. Composed of 192 components, it operates at 4 Hz and delivers a 60-hour power reserve. Its open-worked bridges are satin finished and hand beveled, while the skeletonized oscillating weight is crafted in 22-karat rose gold. A sapphire caseback provides a second perspective on the movement and its finishing.
The newest version gets much of its personality from color. Milano Blue brings depth to the open-worked construction and creates a strong contrast against the warmth of the rose gold. The dial combines sandblasted and satin-finished surfaces with applied rose gold indexes and skeletonized delta-shaped hands. The 40mm rose gold case measures just 8.5mm thick and features the finely knurled bezel that has become a Tonda PF signature. It flows directly into an integrated rose gold bracelet with alternating polished and satin finishes. Water resistance is 100 meters.

Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Skeleton Rose Gold Milano Blue features a sapphire case back for viewing the movement.
Retailing for $117,100, the Tonda PF Skeleton Rose Gold Milano Blue offers a more restrained take on skeleton watchmaking — one in which revealing the mechanics is as much about proportion, harmony and design as it is about technical prowess.
