Saquon Barkley and H. Moser & Cie unveil new Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley watch.
When Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley sat down with Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. to discuss creating his first collaborative timepiece, he didn’t start with technical specifications or design elements. Instead, he opened up about his life, his career and the experiences that shaped him. The result is the new $99,600 Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley Edition, a watch filled with personal references.
“I really just sat there and decided to open a journal, my diary of my life, and they kind of took that and created a story, created my story,” Barkley said in comments shared following the watch’s unveiling.
In fact, according to Barkley, who became a friend of the brand officially in late 2025, the first design concept presented by the brand was remarkably close to what he had envisioned. A few additional details were incorporated, including references to his college football years at Penn State and his current jersey number with the Eagles.
The watch, limited to just 97 pieces, references Barkley’s birth year, 1997, while the numerals 2 and 6 on the dial glow in a different color in the dark, a nod to his jersey number, 26.

Just 97 pieces of the H. Moser Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley watch will be made.
The watch itself is a sophisticated piece of mechanical watchmaking. Crafted in a 42.8mm stainless steel case, it houses the fully skeletonized HMC 811 automatic movement, complete with a one-minute flying tourbillon and cylindrical hairspring. The openworked architecture allows a view of the mechanical components, while the domed aventurine subdial, with its starry-night appearance, offers an intriguing contrast to the movement below.
In fact, skeletonized watches have long appealed to Barkley. The first H. Moser & Cie. watch he wore was the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton, and having a visible movement was an important part of this collaboration. He also wanted something versatile enough to wear with a suit or to practice.
For Barkley, however, the experience of working with a Swiss watchmaker also revealed some unexpected similarities between his profession and the painstaking work of creating a complicated mechanical watch.
“If you want to be successful, if you want to create great pieces and do great things in life, it always comes back to the details,” he said.
He compared the repeated drills, handoffs and movements that go into becoming a successful running back with the attention to detail involved in fine watchmaking. Yet he also acknowledged that the watchmakers take precision to another level.

The HMC 811 movement consists of 171 components and offers a minimum 74-hour power reserve. Its cylindrical hairspring, crafted by specialists at Precision Engineering AG, is among the more technically demanding elements of the movement. Despite the complicated mechanics, the watch remains true to the sporting character of Moser’s Pioneer collection, with 120 meters of water resistance and a white rubber strap.
For H. Moser & Cie., which produces approximately 4,000 watches annually, the collaboration continues its growing involvement with high-profile athletes. The brand has also worked with Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly on a limited-edition Streamliner Tourbillon.
But for Barkley, this watch is decidedly personal. Between the references to his birth year, his jersey number, his college football years and his preference for skeletonized watches, the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley Edition is a mechanical expression of his own story. Just 97 pieces (his birth year) will be made, each priced at $99,600.
