The Officine Panerai Radiomir
Viaggio nel Tempo
Experience watch set (PAM01729) boosts two watches, each housing a hand-wound movement and featuring a domed Plexiglass crystal.
Officine Panerai, the Swiss-made watch brand with deep Italian roots—and the brand long associated with equipping elite Italian naval frogmen—has also been notably forward-thinking when it comes to how it introduces special watches to collectors. Nowhere is that clearer than in its Xperience program. With these highly limited watches, the purchase doesn’t just deliver a rare timepiece; it unlocks a curated adventure tied to the brand’s heritage. Now Panerai adds a new chapter to that program with the Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set.
Over the years I have been fortunate enough to join Panerai on several of these immersive journeys. One brought collectors together with former Navy SEALs for a rigorous training-style experience; another explored the world of exploration and photography with mountaineer Jimmy Chin; and yet another involved sailing aboard the historic yacht Eilean, the restored boat closely linked to Panerai’s maritime story. Each event is carefully orchestrated, blending adventure, history, and meaningful encounters with the people and environments that inspire the watches. It’s precisely why collectors gravitate toward these pieces: the experience becomes part of the watch’s story.

The set, selling for $165,000 with the experience, offers one watch in Bronzo and the other in PlatinumTech.
The newest chapter in that narrative arrives with the Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set, limited to just 30 sets worldwide and priced at $165,000. For the first time, Panerai pairs two watches together as a dedicated set tied to a single Xperience journey—one that takes owners directly into the birthplace of the brand.
The set includes two interpretations of the Radiomir, each housed in a commanding 47mm case and powered by hand-wound movements with three-day power reserves. The first, PAM01729, is crafted in bronze and features the coveted California dial—an alternating mix of Roman and Arabic numerals originally designed for maximum legibility. Bronze, with its ability to develop a unique patina over time, has become one of Panerai’s most beloved materials, evolving with the wearer and giving each watch an individual character. The model is powered by the P.3000 caliber, a robust hand-wound movement inspired by historic Panerai constructions.

The case back of each watch boasts a transparent crystal allowing for viewing of the 198-part movement.
The second watch in the set, PAM01730, offers a more contemporary and technically elevated expression of the Radiomir. Its case is crafted from Panerai’s proprietary Platinumtech™ alloy—95 percent platinum but engineered to be significantly harder and more scratch resistant than traditional platinum. Inside beats the hand-wound P.3001/10 movement with skeletonized bridges and a power-reserve indicator on the back, offering collectors a view of the mechanical architecture. The dial introduces a striking circular-brushed black finish with Panerai’s signature sandwich construction, enhancing both depth and legibility.
Both watches feature hallmark Radiomir design codes: cushion-shaped cases, wire lugs, domed Plexiglas-style crystals, and blue burnished hands paired with beige Super-LumiNova for vintage appeal. They are presented together in a dedicated mahogany presentation case.
Yet, as with all Panerai Xperience releases, the watches are only part of the story.

The set is sold with the full Italian-heritage adventure experience.
Owners of the set are invited to participate in a four-day journey through Italy from September 15–18, 2026, beginning in Florence—where Panerai was founded in 1860 and where its historic Piazza San Giovanni boutique celebrates its centenary this year. The itinerary traces the brand’s naval legacy, bringing guests to the meeting points and training grounds of the famed Italian frogmen near the Serchio River before culminating at the COMSUBIN naval base in Porto Venere for a diving experience and yacht exploration along the Ligurian coast.
Essentially, the Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set encapsulates what Panerai does best: merging tool-watch heritage, bold design, and immersive storytelling.
