Armin Strom Tribute 1 Sandstein
Armin Strom is one of those brands that just keeps surprising watch lovers with its creativity and its refined aesthetics. Known for delving into its history while collaborating with master artisans, the independent manufacture consistently finds new ways to merge tradition with innovation. The latest release, the Tribute 1 Sandstein, is the perfect example.
Inspired by Burgdorf, the Swiss town where the brand was founded, the Tribute 1 Sandstein pays homage to the sandstone that defines much of the region’s architecture. Its warm, earthy tones bring a grounded elegance to the contemporary Tribute 1 line. The off-center sand-colored dial is decorated with a grain d’orge guilloché pattern and accented by Roman numerals, while a frosted subdial offers visual balance.

Just 50 pieces will be made of the stainless steel Armin Strom Tribute 1 Sandstein.
The aesthetics of the watch, and the design of the movement and functions is something we rely on from the brand, but the color combination is the perfect blend of trendy (think Pantone color Mocha Mousse ) and traditional. Completing the look is a sand-toned Alcantara strap with contrasting off-white stitching, which underscores the tactile connection to the natural stone inspiration.
The stainless steel case measures 38 mm in diameter and just 9.38 mm in height, with alternating brushed and polished finishes enhancing its slender profile. With sapphire crystal front and back, the watch offers clear views of both its aesthetic detailing and mechanical artistry.

Armin Strom Tribute 1 Sandstein retails for about $27,000.
Inside, the Tribute 1 Sandstein houses Armin Strom’s in-house Caliber AMW21, a 135-part hand-wound movement delivering an impressive 100-hour power reserve. A visible motor barrel—secured by a mirror-polished finger bridge—adds technical intrigue to the dial side, blending modern character with traditional Swiss values. Beating at 3.5 Hz with a flat hairspring and variable inertia balance wheel, the movement reflects both precision and durability.
As with every Armin Strom creation, finishing plays a central role. The AMW21 is richly decorated with hand-beveled bridges that juxtapose polished and matte surfaces, Geneva stripes, and circular graining. Black-polished screws add subtle contrast, while the brand’s practice of assembling each watch twice ensures quality.
Limited to just 50 pieces, the Tribute 1 Sandstein (Reference ST25-TRI.41) is water resistant to 5 ATM and offers hours, minutes, and seconds hands. It retails for CHF 22,000 – so about $27,300.

The Armin Strom Tribute 1 Sandstein measures a very wearable 38mm in diameter — perfect for any wrist.
