Wempe Signature Collection x Breitling
Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Signature Collection
Two watch world pros —Breitling and Wempe—have once again joined forces to deliver an exclusive collectors’ piece that fuses spacefaring heritage with modern craftsmanship. The Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Signature Collection is the latest chapter in the partnership between the Swiss watchmaker and the German luxury retailer, underscoring Wempe’s dual role as both a globally renowned distributor and a brand in its own right.
For more than a century, Wempe has been synonymous with precision timepieces and fine jewelry. With 31 showrooms worldwide, including its landmark Fifth Avenue boutique in New York City, the family-owned business is not only an authority in watch retail but also a respected manufacturer of its own Glashütte-made chronometers and jewelry collections. The Signature Collection, launched three years ago, reflects Wempe’s philosophy of creating limited-edition timepieces in collaboration with top brands—an initiative that has quickly captured the attention of collectors.

Breitling and Wempe join forces again for the new Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Signature Collection
Breitling’s Navitimer Cosmonaute, originally designed in 1962 for astronaut Scott Carpenter, was the first Swiss wristwatch to be worn in space. Carpenter requested a 24-hour dial to distinguish between day and night while orbiting Earth, and Breitling delivered a functional tool watch that became an icon of both horology and aerospace history. This new Wempe-exclusive edition pays tribute to that milestone while infusing it with refined design cues for today’s enthusiast.
Limited to just 50 pieces, the Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Signature Collection is distinguished by its deep green dial, framed by the model’s hallmark slide rule bezel. The 24-hour scale is executed in Super-LumiNova “Old Radium,” a vintage-inspired treatment that glows bright green in the dark, echoing the glow of cockpit instruments. Adding warmth and contrast, all hands are plated in 18k rose gold, perfectly paired with a cognac-toned alligator strap. An engraving on the sapphire crystal caseback reads “Wempe Signature Collection” and “One of 50,” marking its rarity.

The Breitling x Wempe Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Signature Collection watch retails for $10,100.
Inside, Breitling equips the watch with its hand-wound Manufacture Caliber B02, a COSC-certified chronometer boasting a 70-hour power reserve. The choice of a manual-wind movement is historically accurate—Carpenter’s original Cosmonaute relied on one to ensure reliability in zero gravity. The watch retails for about $10,100.

The collaboration highlights the shared values of the two brands: precision, heritage, and innovation. “With this new limited edition, we are continuing our successful partnership with Wempe—a tribute to Scott Carpenter’s historic space flight, and at the same time a symbol of Breitling’s pioneering spirit,” notes Breitling CEO Georges Kern.
