The Temporis International Award from 2025, this one honored A. Lange & Sohne
The finalists are in for the 2026 Temporis International Awards and now watch lovers around the world get a chance to weigh in on which watches should take home the honors.

Cartier Crash Skeleton
Marking its 13th edition, the Temporis International Awards returns to Zürich on October 29, 2026, with 78 finalist positions across 13 categories and 54 watchmaking names represented. This year’s theme, “Time, Unwritten,” puts the emphasis on where watchmaking is headed next, bringing established maisons together with independent brands, emerging watchmakers and some decidedly unconventional creations.

Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronograph Mysterieux
Among the brands with the strongest showing this year is Parmigiani Fleurier, which leads the field with four finalist positions. Armin Strom, Cartier, Patek Philippe and TAG Heuer each earned three, while 13 other brands, including A. Lange & Söhne, Breitling, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rolex, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin, secured two finalist spots each.

Bulgari Serpenti
Two watches, however, managed an especially impressive feat. The Armin Strom Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition and Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux each received three nominations, appearing in Best Complication Watch, Watch of the Year and Jury Watch of the Year.

Crafted in platinum, the A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Lumen watch has multiple firsts, including concepts meant to enhance the lumen. It can be seen at Watch Week Aspen this year.
The categories themselves offer an interesting snapshot of today’s watch world. Along with traditional areas such as ladies’ and men’s watches, travel watches and high complications, Temporis recognizes sustainability, start-ups and more experimental watchmaking with its Maverick category. There is even a Best Space Age Watch category this year, with contenders ranging from the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Artemis II and IWC Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive to the Omega Speedmaster X-33 Gen 2.

Public voting is open in 12 categories, including Temporis Watch of the Year 2026. That six-watch lineup consists of the A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Lumen, Armin Strom Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition, Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Inventiva Gyrotourbillon à Stratosphère, Konstantin Chaykin Thinking, Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux and Patek Philippe Celestial Sunrise/Sunset.

A separate six-watch Jury Watch of the Year award will be evaluated by the international Temporis jury, and which I am honored to be a part of. Winners will be revealed during the black-tie Temporis International Awards Gala at Kongresshaus Zürich on October 29, 2026.
