Not really known for utilizing brand ambassadors, the legendary 166-year-0ld Ulysse Nardin brand announced last week that it was proud to call baseball All-Star Randy “The Big Unit” Johnson, its new brand ambassador.
We spoke with Randy Johnson before here at Atimelyperspective.com about his thoughts on timing and watches. At that point we had met with Randy at the opening of the first Ulysse Nardin boutique in Florida, where he was a guest and friend of the brand. Now, Ulysse Nardin comes full circle with this great pitcher of American baseball – making him the brand’s first ambassador to have a timepiece made in his honor. According to Ulysse Nardin CEO, Patrik Hoffmann, “The Big Unit” timepiece, which is under development, will be unveiled in the fall and will be available for sale at select boutiques in late 2012 or early 2013.
“I am honored to be an ambassador for a company and brand that offers watch lovers like me perfection in quality, utility and style,” says Johnson.
