Watch Collectors Unite: WatchTime New York 2017 Is Around The Corner

The industry event of the year is just around the corner. WatchTime New York brings together some of the most illustrious brands in the watch industry and opens them up to the public. Held at Gotham Hall in New York City, this two-day event welcomes 30 brands to center stage. Festivities kick off on October 13th during the WatchTime cocktail event. During this 3-hour event guests have the opportunity to meet brand executives, VIP’s, WatchTime editors, and some of the most renowned social media influencers of today.

The inside look at the watch industry does not end there. On Saturday, October 14th, guests are welcomed back for a full day event to browse, mingle, and shop. Interspersed throughout the day will be brand and expert presentations including such names as Claude Greisler of Armin Strom, Ruediger Albers of Wempe, and Anish Bhatt of WatchAnish.

WatchTime New York is the single biggest watch collector event in North America, organized by WatchTime, the award-winning luxury watch magazine. Participating brands this year include: A.Lange & Sohne, Alpina, Antoine Preziuso, Armin Strom, Atelier DeMonaco, Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Breguet, Bremont, Carl F. Bucherer, ChronoSwiss, Czapek, Frederique Constant, Glashutte, Graham, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Jaquet Droz, Longines, MB&F, Moritz Grossmann, OMEGA, RGM, Romain Gauthier, Grand Seiko, Speake-Marin, TAG Heuer, Voutilainen, WEMPE, Zenith.

On Friday night there is a cocktail event – registration required. On Saturday, the day begins at 10:30 with a “Meet the Watchmaking Stars” panel that includes   Kari Voutilainen, Roland Murphy, Antoine Preziuso, Romain   Gauthier and  Claude Greisler of Armin Strom. These watchmaking stars will share their stories about their start in the industry. Later in the day there is a panel discussion of watch experts, a “Meet the Brands” event and a presentation on James Bond’s Watches.

Additionally, Longines will have a Heritage Exhibition to celebrate the brand’s 185th Anniversary. The special 185th anniversary Longines Heritage Exhibition will showcase some of the reissued watches from the Swiss brand’s popular Heritage Collection, each representing a moment in time that paralleled significant chapters in the history of the United States. A prized piece among them: the Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch 90th Anniversary inspired by the watch first developed by Longines in the 1930s, in partnership with pioneering trans-Atlantic aviator Charles Lindbergh.
