Bidding time is almost up for the RGM chronograph specially made to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NAWCC.

Last Fall, to help the NAWCC ( National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors) raise money to support the museum, RGM made and donated a special custom RGM watch to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the museum. Now, as the NAWCC is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the organization, RGM once again made a custom watch to commemorate the 75th. This watch, the RGM Model 455 Chronograph, has  “NAWCC 75 Years”  printed on the dial, and also has  a beautiful hand engraving  of “Tommy Ticker” — the same image on the side of the NAWCC Museum — on the caseback..

Roland Murphy, founder of RGM has a  long relationship with the NAWCC dating back to his  first visit to the museum with his father back in 1979. In the 1980″s and 1990’s, he volunteered restoring clocks and watches for them, and from the early 2000’s to present, RGM has held several events there, and has worked closely with them to further the preservation of timepieces, and interest in all things Horology.

Inspired by the great classic chronographs from the 1940s, this modern version of a classic style is a fitting way to remember the NAWCC’s 75th anniversary year. The Movement Caliber is a RGM-Valjoux 7750, Swiss-made automatic, 25 jewels.

Bidding information is here and bidding ends tonight! All proceeds will benefit this fine organization that is dedicated to preserving the history of Horology.
